This warm and inviting restaurant is located in the newly upgraded mall called “The Point” located in Regent Road, Sea point. I must admit when walking in the mall , I did not expect such a warm and cosy restaurant to be located there.
As I entered the restaurant, It felt like walking into another world. The general feel of the warm décor and dim lighting vs the outside florescent light of the mall was strange, yet comforting. The staff are friendly and we received a very warm welcome as we entered the doors to NV-80. We were escorted to our table ( which was quite big as we were quite a large group of diners).
The Decor
We opted to try the restaurant’s garlic bread at the recommendation of the waiter. Only later ( when the bill came), did I discover that the bread was not free. It cost about R10 each. It was well worth it! The garlic bread was warm and oozed garlic butter. It was perfect for the cold winter Cape Town has been experiencing…

Someone told me that I had to try the steak. I opted for the 250gram fillet steak. The Steak comes with a choice of rice, veggies or chips. I opted for the veggies. I asked for the steak to prepared medium to well. I just need to mention that we were quite a large group of people and a majority of us ordered steaks. All the food came out at the same time and all the steaks were prepared how we wanted it. I was quite impressed by the service of this restaurant.

NV-8O is quite pricy as the steak cost about R190. Best R190 I ever spent.I would definitely go back to this restaurant and recommend it toeveryone. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they are halaal friendly (their meat are sourced from a halal butchery). See the menu here.
